Privacy Policy for the Home Device Concierge (Android)
Created: September 26, 2026
Effective: September 26, 2026
Grewai LLC (“we,” “us,” or “our”) handles information relating to users of the Android application “Home Device Concierge” (the “App”) as described in this Privacy Policy.
1. Information We Collect and How We Use It

| Your name, contact details, and inquiry contents when you contact us | Responding to inquiries and verifying your identity where necessary |
The information collected depends on the features you use and the content you submit. Please do not include third parties’ personal information that is unnecessary to your question, passwords, payment card details, or other sensitive information in consultations or materials.
2. AI Processing and Document Search
The App uses the OpenAI API to respond to consultations, analyze device information, and search materials. Information necessary for these functions—including your question, follow-up answers, device information, relevant history, images, and material content—is sent to OpenAI through our servers.
Materials registered for search may be stored on our servers and in OpenAI search storage. Not all processing takes place solely on your Android device.
According to OpenAI’s published policy, data submitted to its API is not used to train or improve its models unless the customer has opted in to data sharing. This does not mean that the data is never retained. Data may be retained for abuse monitoring and service delivery, and search materials may remain stored until they are deleted or their applicable expiration period is reached.
For more information about OpenAI’s handling of API data, please see OpenAI’s API data usage policies.
3. Google Play Purchases and RevenueCat
In-app purchases in the Android version are processed through Google Play. RevenueCat is used to manage access to paid features.
Google Play and RevenueCat may handle purchase history, product information, transaction identifiers, in-app user identifiers, and related information to process purchases, verify or restore purchases, and manage subscription status.
We do not collect or store your credit card number or security code through the App.
Please also review the privacy information provided by these services:
4. Service Providers and International Processing
We use service providers to process information as necessary to provide the App, including AI processing, document search, server operations, and purchase management. Our main service providers are Sakura Internet Inc., OpenAI, Google Play, and RevenueCat.
Sakura Internet Inc. (Japan)
The App’s server infrastructure provided by Sakura Internet Inc. is located in Japan. Sakura Internet handles information stored or processed on that infrastructure on our behalf.
OpenAI API (Global processing)
We send consultation content, device information, relevant conversation history, images, and document content to OpenAI’s API for AI processing and document search. The App’s consultation and product-search functions connect to api.openai.com. The OpenAI project currently identified in our settings shows “Project Residency: Global.” We do not configure this API connection to limit processing or storage to Japan or another specific country.
OpenAI and its affiliates or subprocessors may process information in the United States and other countries or regions. The locations may depend on the API features used and OpenAI’s current service and subprocessor arrangements. Please see OpenAI’s current subprocessor list for processing-location information.
OpenAI states that data sent to its API is not used to train or improve its models unless the customer opts in. Under OpenAI’s default settings, abuse-monitoring logs may include prompts and responses and may be retained for up to 30 days. Some API features retain content until it is deleted; for example, files and vector stores may remain stored until deletion. See OpenAI’s API data controls for details.
For information about OpenAI’s data-processing terms, see OpenAI’s Data Processing Addendum. For information about Japan’s rules concerning personal data handled outside Japan, see the Personal Information Protection Commission of Japan’s guidelines.
Google Play (United States and other locations)
Google Play processes in-app purchases and related purchase information. Google states that information may be processed on servers outside the country where a user lives. The locations may include the United States and other countries where Google operates servers. For details, see the Google Privacy Policy.
RevenueCat (United States)
RevenueCat processes information needed to verify purchases and manage access to paid features. RevenueCat states that personal data is stored on Amazon Web Services (AWS) in the United States. For details, see the RevenueCat Privacy Policy and RevenueCat Data Processing Addendum and subprocessor information.
We do not sell personal information. We do not provide personal data to third parties without your consent, except where handling is entrusted to service providers or where otherwise permitted by applicable law.
Where personal data is handled outside Japan, we take measures required by applicable law, which may include providing information about the recipient country and its data protection system, obtaining consent where required, and confirming appropriate safeguards with the service provider. For information about Japan’s rules on providing personal data to parties in foreign countries, see the Personal Information Protection Commission of Japan’s guidelines. The Commission’s information about the United States is available here.
For questions about the countries or safeguards applicable to a particular service, please contact us using the details in Section 9.
5. Retention and Deletion
We retain registered device information, consultation history, and other information for as long as necessary to provide the App’s features and support your continued use. When information is no longer needed for its purpose, we delete it or process it so that it can no longer identify an individual.
You may request deletion of your registered information, consultation history, submitted images, and materials by contacting us through the channel in Section 9. After confirming the information covered by your request and, where necessary, your identity, we will take appropriate steps to delete the relevant data managed by us and related data held by our service providers.
We may retain some information for the period necessary to meet legal obligations, handle purchases or refunds, or prevent misuse. If so, we will explain the information concerned, the reason for retention, and the retention period or the criteria used to determine it.
Backups containing information are excluded from ordinary use and are deleted or overwritten according to the applicable backup retention schedule. External service providers may require additional time to complete deletion.
Uninstalling the App does not delete information stored on our servers and does not cancel a Google Play subscription. Data deletion and subscription cancellation are separate processes. Please manage your subscription through Google Play.
6. Security
We implement appropriate security measures, such as managing access permissions and encrypting communications, to help prevent leakage, loss, or damage to information. We also take appropriate steps to verify and supervise service providers in light of the information they handle and the services they perform.
7. Your Rights
You may contact us through Section 9 to request notification of the purposes of use, access, correction, addition, deletion, suspension of use, or suspension of third-party provision of your personal information held by us. We will respond in accordance with applicable law.
We will use a reasonable method to verify your identity, taking into account the request and the nature of the information. If we cannot comply with all or part of a request, we will explain the reason.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may revise this Policy in response to changes in our information-handling practices or applicable laws. We will announce material changes through the App or our website. Where new consent is required, we will obtain it in accordance with applicable law.
